Modern Exchange Company (MEC) B.S.C(c), which entered the Bahrain market in May 2015 is a joint venture of Dr. Esam Abdulla Fakhro, who chairs the Fakhro Group of Companies in Bahrain, Al Mulla International Exchange Co. KSCC in Kuwait-the single largest exchange company in Kuwait and Mr. Ebrahim Al Lengawi, an HNI entrepreneur in Bahrain. The Company currently operates seventeen branches in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
While Modern Exchange is new to Bahrain, its other affiliates–Al Mulla International Exchange Company K.S.C. (c) (AMIEC) in Kuwait and Modern Exchange Company in Oman are the pioneers and market leaders in the money exchange business in the respective countries.
